Garden Master Class

We are delighted to host a separate Garden Master Class which is part of a series of days run by Noel Kingsbury and Annie Guilfoyle in association with Gardens Illustrated Magazine. These aim to bring together gardeners and designers with the very best and most innovative of people in the gardening world through one day workshops in different parts of the country.

The day at The Coach House will be on Wednesday May 1st with a Garden Design Workshop run by Annie Guilfoyle.

Garden design workshop - working a concept through to completion

Annie Guilfoyle has chosen the Coach House for this course as it is a really fine example of how a simple and yet bold design works so successfully. Mel’s garden is divided into well-proportioned ‘rooms’, each with a different character with the planting changing from area to area. Annie will focus on working with a concept and explain how to streamline the design process. Time will be spent on the functional site arrangement and how to avoid the ‘blank sheet of paper syndrome’. There will be practical exercises, making this event particularly useful for new designers, students and those wishing to redesign their own gardens.
